Chelsea Wepy
Environmental Educator & Restoration Project Organizer, NYC H2O & Baruch Climate Action Collaborative
Chelsea Wepy is passionate about bringing awareness to the impacts of climate change on New York City through education and community engagement. She received her B.B.A. in entrepreneurial management from Baruch College with a minor in environmental sustainability and Spanish. She was also selected as one of five students for the inaugural cohort of the Baruch Climate Scholars program where she received an interdisciplinary education on climate change issues. As an undergraduate she engaged in research focused on climate-induced migration fear ecology GIS modeling and carbon pricing policy. Currently she is the program coordinator for the Baruch Climate Action Collaborative at Baruch College and an environmental educator and restoration project organizer with NYC H2O. She is excited to have the opportunity to ignite curiosity about our natural environment in her fellow New Yorkers to build innovative solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change and to help create a safe and equitable future for all New Yorkers.
