Mackenzie McGuffie

As Senior Sustainability Specialist for Valley Metro Mackenzie works to create more environmentally sound transit system for the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Mackenzie is currently creating Valley Metro�s first climate action plan and leading efforts to bring battery electric buses into the agency�s bus fleet. She is passionate about the power of transit active transportation and vehicle electrification as a way to reduce emissions improve air quality and build a better city. Mackenzie graduated from Arizona State University in just four years with both a Bachelor�s degree in Sustainability and a Master�s degree in Sustainability Solutions. Outside of Valley Metro Mackenzie volunteers with the Arizona Sustainability Alliance by serving on the board of directors and helping fundraise for local sustainability efforts.
