Hayley Margolis

Food Forest Educator

Hayley Margolis is a Miami based permaculture educator and climate justice activist. She has a BA in sociology from George Washington University, and led the movement to disassociate the institution from the Colonial moniker. She has worked with non-profits, political candidates, and elected officials in Washington DC, Florida, Philadelphia, and upstate New York to affect progressive change. She believes that the climate crisis demands equitable BIPOC centered solutions inspired by indigenous science and technologies. In her current role, Hayley utilizes biodiverse food forests built in elementary schools as an interdisciplinary education tool.
