Karly Pulido

Sustainability Officer

Karly's sustainability career has stretched from the private to public sector. In 2018 she accepted an opportunity with Legacy Vacation Resorts as the first Sustainability professional in the company, there she paved the way in making Legacy Vacation Resorts a more sustainable and resilient company. During her time at Legacy Vacation Resorts, she led their efforts in becoming the first multi-state hospitality company in the United States to achieve B-Corp certification. Later, Karly obtained her Master of Engineering in Sustainable Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and began working at Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) where she managed the Sustainability Office for the OCPS school district which encompasses over 200 schools and 25k+ employees. There, she developed a Sustainability Plan that encompassed over 40k stakeholders. Karly is currently working for Miami Dade County Public Schools, the 3rd largest school district in United States where she is leading the Sustainability initiatives as their first Sustainability Officer.
